Located in the Picos de Europa, the Asturian peak of Naranjo de Bulnes is an ideal area for mountain lovers, especially for climbers and mountaineers. Although it is not the highest peak in the Cordillera, the views from the top of its rock, as well as those that can be admired from the base, the hill and the lower plain, are truly impressive. Naranjo de Bulnes is a limestone mountain of Palaeozoic origin, 2,518 metres high and located in the central massif of the Picos de Europa, in Asturias. Among the inhabitants of the area it is known under the name of Picu Urriellu, which comes from the Asturian language name of the central massif, Los Urrieles.
