<p>The <strong>Hungarian Parliament</strong>, one of Hungary’s largest buildings and Budapest’s most iconic monument, is situated on the Pest side of the Danube and is the most expensive building ever built in Hungary.</p>
<p>This impressive building features over 690 rooms, 10 courtyards, 27 gates, and 29 staircases. With awe-inspiring architecture, it offers insight into Hungary’s political past and currently houses the offices of the Prime Minister and his staff, as well as one of Hungary’s biggest treasures: The Holy Crown of St Stephen. Although its façade faces the Danube River, the official main entrance is located on the opposite side, more specifically on Kossuth Lajos square. This amazing building will blow your mind from practically every riverside point. Some of the amazing spots you can go to for admire amazing panoramic views of the Parliament and Budapest’s skyline are Fisherman’s Bastion, Budapest Castle, St. Stephen’s Basilica, on the banks of the Danube, or from the Chain Bridge and from The Citadella. As for us, the best way to contemplate what they call “the golden grand piano” in all its glory is on the other side of the Danube. You will understand why that name when you see it at night!</p>
