The Horseshoe Bend is a meander of the Colorado River and is located a few miles from Page, Arizona, about 5 miles downstream from Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell. The Horseshoe bend is about 300 meters deep, U-shaped and can be admired from the top of the steep slopes after a short hike on a trail from U.S. Route 89. Given its peculiar shape, it is named after the horseshoe (horseshoe).
