The Historical Museum of Firefighters and the Italian Red Cross covers an area of over 2500 square meters: inside there are finds of significant value for the history of science and technology from the eighteenth to the twentieth century that make it one of the richest and most spectacular of its kind in Europe.
It is divided into 4 thematic pavilions of an area of 1000 sq.m. and a further 1500 sq.m. that collects a large number of historical emergency vehicles, from hippotrained to motorized, aerial stairs and staircases of different ages and types, uniforms, helmets and other exceptional evidence of the firefighting profession over time.
In an exciting journey that recounts the "fight against fire" over the centuries, from the fire of ancient Rome to the Second World War, there are also reproductions of places that have historically benefited from the intervention of the Fire Brigade, including the Onofrio Mill in Manfredonia. A pavilion is also dedicated to the company’s firefighters and proposes the theme of Enichem’s presence in the history of Manfredonia.
