The Chocolate Town was founded in 1903 by Milton S. Hershey and its story seems to have come out of a film set. After a difficult life Hershey managed to succeed in the confectionery field, precisely in the production of candies. In 1893 during the Colombian World Exhibition in Chicago he met a European manufacturer of chocolate processing machines. He immediately bought one and decided to start producing chocolate in his factory. He was immediately struck by his love for the new product. In 1903 he began the construction of a new and bigger factory, dedicated only to chocolate, and around the factory, he began the construction of the particular city.
