Hermitage of San Colombano
It looks like a swallow’s nest on a rock suspended about 120 meters above sea level. Or rather overhanging the Leno stream. This watercourse is the origin of everything, in fact the Hermitage of San Colombato exists because it is dedicated to that saint who, according to legend, brought to death a dragon that killed children baptized in the impervious waters of the river below. Of this struggle between the saint and the dragon, or between good and evil, we read the details in the original frescoes that still adorn the cave today.
