The structure, whose first structure dates back to 100 B.C., underwent profound changes in the Augustan age when the scene was transformed with the construction of a new proscenium in masonry decorated with paintings. Of the building, excavated during the sixties, is preserved, in addition to the orchestra, part of the cavea with the seats of the proedria (the first row reserved for the authorities) in blocks of tuff, ending on both sides with decorative sculptures depicting a sphinx and a winged lion.
