Hall of Costume and Popular Traditions

The Hall of Costume and Popular Traditions is located in the rooms below the Town Hall. Inside are kept the ducal clothes, i.e. the clothes worn during the historical revocation of the Polenta Well Contest that takes place in Corinaldo on the third Sunday of July and previous days. These clothes, which every year are redone ex novo by the ward that won the Palio the previous year, are paraded only once, and then exhibited in this room, to document year after year the evolution of the costume of the sixteenth century. Also in this room are preserved tools for the processing of fabrics. All the clothes in this room were made by local tailors.
