Crete’s Samariá Gorge National Park is one of the island’s most popular tourist attractions, a destination distinguished by a deep and narrow 16-km (10-mi) gorge the base of which makes for a fantastic day-long hike.A 16-kilometer downhill trek descending 1,230 meters from the island’s rocky crests to the teal-blue waters of the Libyan Sea. It’s the longest gorge in Greece and one of the largest in Europe.
