Greece | Chora, a real gem

Chora is the capital of Amorgos and is a real gem. Clinging high around a fortress, this town of medieval origin has developed around a tooth of rock on which the Venetians built the Kastro (or castle). At its feet is the village, with a maze of white alleys, classic blue painted roofs, bougainvillea in bloom, craft shops, restaurants and small panoramic terraces. At the top of the village there are the typical mills of the Cyclades. Climb up here to see the sunset; from here you can see almost the whole island and the view will take your breath away.
