Ginosa and Piazza Orologio

One of the first places you will visit is the wonderful Piazza Orologio, located in the historical centre of Ginosa and surrounded by two noble palaces including Palazzo Tarantini (Palazzo Pupino) built between 1730-1740 by one of the oldest and most titled families of Ginosa and Palazzo Strada built in 1793 with a pleasant liberty style facade. Piazza Orologio, once known as Piazza Nuova, was built in the 19th century with the construction of the clock which in 1820 took the place of the Palazzo del Sedile or Palazzo di Giustizia.
