In the Garibaldino Mentana Museum are kept relics, often unique, such as the tie of Giuseppe Mazzini, the autographs of Garibaldi, his sons and son-in-law Stefano Canzio, authentic photos of Giuseppe, Menotti and Ricciotti Garibaldi and other characters of the Risorgimento. Visitors can also admire the complete uniform of Garibaldi’s Cesare Becherucci.
In addition, there is a library of the Risorgimento and there are plans to open a historic park in the garden adjacent to the Museum, where there is the Ara-Ossario National Monument dedicated to the memory of the 300 volunteers who died in the Campaign of 1867 in the retinue of Giuseppe Garibaldi.
The museum, twinned with that of Antrodoco, site of the first Risorgimento battle, has a new room in which it is possible to hold meetings and conferences on request.
