GALEE TOWER
Built in the 15th century by the Aragonese, it is a fortified building complex called "tower". It consists, in fact, of three towers, two of which are circular and one square, with a drawbridge. Torre Galea is certainly one of the most original and beautiful fortresses of Calabria and is located about a mile from Torre del Cavallaro. Together with Torre Vecchia and Torre dei Giardini it was a defence system against Turkish raids, the most powerful defensive and guarding system that Calabria has ever had. Torre Vecchia and Torre dei Giardini were destroyed.
