With a project by American architect Frank Gehry commissioned in 2001, under the management of Bernard Arnault, founder of the LVMH group, the Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris was created in 2006, a unique space dedicated to art and culture in Paris.
This private cultural initiative aims to promote and support art, particularly contemporary art, and to be a place of encounter and interaction between artists, the Parisian public and visitors from all over the world.
It was born in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, occupying about 846 hectares, in a beautiful landscape next to the zoo, with an auditorium, 11 galleries with permanent exhibitions and ample space for temporary exhibitions.
With its incredible architecture reminiscent of a boat in full sail, the Fondation Louis Vuitton is a building of extraordinary beauty.
Its mission is to evoke emotions and invite reflection from every visitor.
