The sources of the Fiume Verde represent one of the greatest riches for Fara San Martino. These are crystal-clear waters that are born on Mount Acquaviva and after a slow underground journey resurface from the depths of the mountain, downstream of the spectacular canyon.
This is a very important resource which, together with the industriousness of the inhabitants, has marked the history and tradition of this village. The presence of the river has represented in the past, and still represents today, an important element for the development of the activities that have arisen around its banks, marking the history of the village and giving a strong impulse to a tradition of wool workers first and pasta makers today.
The abundance of water and the high purity, the particularly rich vegetation and the equipped picnic area allow you to fully experience this almost magical place!
A tip for those who want to fully experience this place is to do the Family Trail No. 20.
