Surrounded by swirling Scottish seas, Elie Lighthouse was built in 1908 so sailors would seek solace in its powerful, incandescent rays. Today this tiny structure attracts inquisitive minds still wishing to admire its light. The nearby ruins of Lady’s Tower whisper about the days when it served as a changing room or summer house for Lady Janet Anstruther. Built in the 1770s, rumour has it that the Lady would change here before her daily skinny dip session!
