On the eastern border of Las Hurdes region we find El Melero Meander, formed by the Alagón River, near Riomalo de Abajo. You can get to this beautiful natural spot on foot or by car, and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view from its viewpoint, known as La Antigua. Here you can enjoy the quintessential landscape of Las Hurdes, which is typically rugged, but also very peaceful.If you leave Riomalo and head towards the viewpoint you’ll find a natural pool on the Ladrillar River.
