In German, Eisriesenwelt means “World of the Ice Giants,” and this is a fitting name for the otherworldly caverns found in north-central Austria.The planet’s largest ice caves, Eisriesenwelt ducks 400 meters below the surface and measures 42 kilometers from end to end. Visitors can explore part of this frozen underground, which was once believed to be an icy entrance to hell.
