Originally built in 1215, the Dragsholm Slot is one of the most haunted places in the world. Part of the castle was used as a prison in the 16th and 17th century. Later it was rebuilt in baroque style after 1694. According to the visitors, this place is haunted by many ghosts and one of the most haunted places they ever witnessed. Most visitors’ claimed that they witnessed three ghosts.
They are known as a grey lady, a white lady, and the ghost of one its prisoners, James Hepburn, the 4th Earl of Bothwell. Among them, the most notorious is the gray lady.
