Devil’s Lake is located in the upper Sasso Valley, above the Longo Refuge at about 2026 meters above sea level. Its waters reflect the walls of Mount Aga (2720 meters) that rise steeply on the opposite side of the dam.To reach it, take State Road 470 to the Lenna junction and then continue on Provincial Road 2 in the direction of Foppolo. From there, take provincial road 5 that leads to Carona. As you cross the village, you will find signs indicating the huts in the area. The route continues with a road closed to traffic, and the ascent begins on foot.Several markers indicate the various refuges and lakes in the area. The initial road is paved, but then becomes unpaved. During the hike, you will encounter waterfalls, streams, trails, and breathtaking views.Devil’s Lake is located in the final part of the trail, reached after a hike through the forest.
