Cream: The Terni de Gregory Palace

The Terni de Gregory palace, designed in 1711, is the best expression of the architectural blossoming of Cremasque rococo. The project, which incorporated some pre-existing late medieval buildings, was never completed. Perhaps it is precisely this aspect of the unfinished work that gives it that somewhat bizarre suggestion: the front that was supposed to connect the two wings, along the axis backwards from the street, opens windows to the sky and shows an interrupted cornice, as well as the arches of the loggia have remained without decoration.
