The Cork Museum, consists of an exhibition room in which are visible 18 machines typical of cork processing, ordered according to the stages of processing and some in their historical evolution.
The exhibition illustrates the history and culture of cork processing in Cervarezza, its origins and relations with sheep farming and transhumance, through the exhibition of panels, photographs, newspaper articles and documents.
The exhibition room is flanked by a projection room where you can admire a tourist/ informative video about Cervarezza and the origins of this ancient processing, which tells the story of this ancient tradition through the testimony of a shepherd and some elderly women of the village. The video ends with the stages of cork processing, as they take place today, with a link to the production companies that are still present in the area.
