Como and its wonderful Lake

The magnificent landscape of Lake Como has enchanted artists and travellers over the centuries: from the French writer Flaubert to the musicians Gioacchino Rossini and Giuseppe Verdi, who found inspiration here for their famous works. Nowadays the lake continues to attract celebrities of the international jet-set who appreciate the beauty of the lake and the suggestive places that surround it. If boats and hydrofoils are an excellent opportunity to admire the city and fully enjoy the beauty of the landscape, to enjoy a wider view there is no means more suitable than the funicular that connects Como to Brunate.l Lake Como (or Lario), located about 80 kilometers from Milan between the provinces of Como and Lecco, is the third largest Italian lake, after Lake Garda and Lake Maggiore, and the deepest (410 meters). The lake, one of the most important in Lombardy, with its characteristic inverted Y shape, winds in three branches: Como to the south-west, Lecco to the south-east and Colico to the north. From its shores you can enjoy many fascinating views: charming villages, beautiful villas and lush gardens await visitors in search of relaxation and culture in contact with nature.
