The Commercial Museum of Trieste, inaugurated in 2005, is located on the main floor of Palazzo Dreher, in Via San Nicolò. The building was designed in the years 1909-1910 by the Viennese architect Emil Bressler and adapted to house the "Borsa Nuova" in 1928-29 by the Trieste architect Gustavo Pulitzer-Finaly, founder of modern Italian naval furnishings.
In the various rooms you can find documents and artefacts relevant to the history of the Chamber of Commerce of Trieste, established in 1755 by Maria Teresa of Austria; you can also admire the instruments used for institutional checks on goods, the goods laboratory, the section dedicated to the sea and the port.
