Palazzo de Nordis is a historic palace of the noble family De’ Nordis. The Palace was the seat of the Archaeological Museum until 1990, the year in which all the collections, received from the beginning of the nineteenth century, were transferred to the Palazzo dei Provveditori Veneti (or Pretorio, also in Piazza Duomo) and in which the National Archaeological Museum is currently set up, which preserves and exhibits archaeological goods.
The current location of the National Archaeological Museum also temporarily preserves the historical-artistic and archival-library collections that are part of the Museum Collection of Ancient and Modern Art of Palazzo de Nordis, now under construction.
