City museum of Sanremo

The civic museum of Sanremo is housed in the monumental eighteenth-century building of Palazzo Nota. This palace, which in ancient times was the residence of the Genoese commissioner and municipal seat, has been restored in all its beauty. On the first floor the museum preserves ancient testimonies of the Sanremo territory since prehistoric times. On the second floor you can admire the historic Salone del Consiglio Comunale (council hall) with its 18th century frescoes and in the other rooms there is the picture gallery which houses precious paintings and sculptures from 1600 onwards. Inside the path you can enjoy engaging multimedia tours.
