Posta like a sentinel guarding the town of Limone, Cima Mughera offers a straightforward ascent suitable for the intermediate seasons. Its moderate altitude and mild climate, linked to the proximity of Lake Garda, make it a destination that can sometimes be reached even in winter, although the summit area may be affected by snow for short periods. The ascent can be undertaken starting from Limone, in which case the elevation gain is significant, reaching 1100 meters. A simpler and less strenuous option is the route starting from Pregasina. The described itinerary includes, roughly halfway, a passage near Punta Larici, a sensational and unforgettable natural balcony overlooking a large part of Lake Garda.
