The Church of Santissima Annunziata in Vico Equense is not really a sanctuary but this church is too beautiful not to be included in the "tour".
Cathedral of the diocese of Vico Equense until 1818 (year of the suppression of the diocese), it is one of the few examples of gothic architecture, even if reworked, of the Sorrento coast.
The baroque façade dates back to the end of the 18th century and the square bell tower of the 16th century, overlooking the sea, fits perfectly into a breathtaking panorama that culminates in the cone of Vesuvius.
