The Church of Santa Maria Laurentia was founded by a group of 34 families who took refuge in Bevagna following the destruction, ordered by the Pontiff, of the castles of Antignano, loyal to Frederick II of Swabia.
The church, now deconsecrated and used as an Auditorium, preserves a beautiful portal with a relief depicting the Madonna suckling the Child.
