Built in 1550 in Corso Umberto I, the Church of San Giovanni Battista – which gives its name to the village of the same name – has a façade composed of four pilasters with Doric semi-capitals of Mannerist conception, while the second level shows stuccoes in Baroque style (1753).
The interior is small and covered with a dome decorated with stucco similar to the exterior, which decorates the three symmetrical niches on the walls with statues of St. John the Baptist, St. Eligius (17th century) and St. Sophia (15th century).
The church is currently used for the solemnities of June 24 dedicated to St. John the Baptist of the Confraternity of Monte dei Morti and Blessed Virgin of Carmel.
