Although each temple in Chiang Mai is unique, I must necessarily dedicate a few words to the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. The temple, nestled in Doi Suthep National Park, is one of the most historically and spiritually important places in all of Thailand.
Legend has it that relics belonging to the Buddha are kept in the imposing golden stupa of the Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. It offers, thanks to its location, a splendid view of the surrounding area (to reach it you will have to face more than 304 steps) and at 18:00 you can watch the singing of the monks.
