Cevapcici are definitely the Bosnian national dish, whose name comes from the Persian word kebab, and means "roasted meat".
As the name says, the origin of the specialty is Turkish, it was in fact introduced due to the Ottoman occupation of Bosnia in the 14th century AD. These are oblong-shaped meatballs, made of mixed minced meat (beef, pork and lamb) to which onion is added. The meatballs are then served inside a bread – pita type – or on a plate, usually accompanied by diced or ringed white onions, sour cream, a spicy sauce called ajvar (made from ground red peppers and spices) and kajmak, a typical local cheese. In Sarajevo it is usually served as street food.
