Cervo

Photogenic and scenic, every shot gives it prominence: the balcony on the sea of the small square of Corallini, the games of shade between the narrow streets, the high arches, the breathtaking ups and downs, flowers and olive trees in the background. It is characterized by the maze of narrow alleys that descend towards the coast and made unmistakable by the Church of San Giovanni Battista, a true jewel of Ligurian Baroque. Strolling through the stone arches and the views of the sea, you will be surprised by the pictures of Liguria that a sly cat, clothes hanging, and tinkling cutlery can create. Cervo is art. In the village you will find elegant sixteenth-century palaces and characteristic restaurants, workshops of artists and artisans who display ceramics, jewelry, coral and leather and glass objects. The castle of the Dukes of Clavesana, now houses art exhibitions and the permanent Ethnographic Museum of Western Liguria. An old gumbu (oil mill) houses the Oil Museum. The beach of Cervo is a pleasant stop to spend among the small establishments and the accesses to the free beach.
