Herborarium Museum
Multipurpose space in which to promote art, culture, scientific dissemination. Headquarters of the Presidium of the Book of Catania. Seat of the first Science Café in southern Italy, recognized by the national circuit of the same name. The Vecchia Farmacia room houses a collection of apothecary vases made by master ceramists from Caltagirone and Sciacca, tools and objects from the pharmaceutical tradition of the 19th and early 20th century.
In the intimate and cosy Spice Room you can taste and buy tea, herbal teas, infusions and flavours. The Literary Coffee Room offers the possibility of relaxation, study, conversation, consultation and purchase of books and magazines on the history and culture of Sicily, free wifi connection.
