The exhibition space of the Capucci Museum is managed by the Roberto Capucci Foundation – which moved specifically from Rome to Florence for the occasion – was inaugurated on 27 October 2007 with the temporary exhibition "Ritorno alle origini". The exhibition was a great success with about 50,000 visitors. A year later it became a permanent exhibition, focusing in particular on a series of twelve sculpture-dresses made for the Venice Biennale in 1995 and originally not intended to be worn.
The other clothes on display, which will be rotated periodically, are about 30 divided into groups and cover the entire production of the designer, since 1950. They are accompanied by exhibitions of sketches, sketches, audiovisual, press articles and photographs.
