A red building rises above the sea and fascinates many tourists. It is Villa Malaparte, the house that the writer Curzio Malaparte had built on his project on the island. The relationship between Malaparte and Capri began in 1936 when the writer, visiting Axel Munthe, was enchanted by the beauty of the place. Galeazzo Ciano helped his writer friend to buy the piece of land where he was to build what he called Casa come Me and which over time became a meeting place for artists and intellectuals.
