Calpe and the Peñon de Ifach

Calp is located on the sunny east coast of Spain. It is best known for its beaches, such as Arenal-Bol, which is really beautiful with its golden sand and crystal clear water. The promenade and the marina are the core of the town, but the old town is worth a visit with its Gothic churches, Roman ruins and a few cafes and tapas bars. Calpe, is dominated by a huge three hundred metre high rock, the Peñon de Ifach, which is connected to the town and is walkable by travellers. And if you are a nature lover, the Penon de Ifach is the right place for you. The gigantic limestone cliff that dominates the city, is a place where nature reigns. Don’t miss "La Muralla Roja", a castle-shaped construction in pink, red and blue, designed by the architect Ricardo Bofill.
