With a width of only 53 cm at chest level, you’ll have to walk sideways to navigate this calle! Calle Varisco, like so many other things to see in Venice, is shrouded in mystery, in fact, legend has it that if a murderer were to walk down this calle, the walls would close in to kill the murderer, thus punishing their impure soul.
