Calabria: Rocca del Drago

Rocca del Drago called in dialect "Rokka du Traku" for its resemblance to a three-eyed dragon. It would seem that these were created by human hands, perhaps in Neolithic times. According to some, it is simply a bizarre work of nature. Legend has it that a blind dragon lived under the rock and fed on the milk contained in the rocky chambers, hence the name milk cauldrons. Another legend has it that the dragon kept a treasure right there that would be discovered by whoever offered in sacrifice a kid goat, a completely black cat and a child.
