The Button Museum is a collection of over 8500 buttons. The exhibition has been entirely curated by Giorgio Gallavotti. The collection is divided into three sections: The history of 1900, the materials and their transformation; The buttons of 1700-1800; The curiosities from the world.
All sections are accompanied by captions and iconographic references taken from the Encyclopedia of Fashion and Costume, and worksheets on some of the materials used to make the buttons, such as mother-of-pearl and choir.
