At 69,000 acres, Brasília National Park is one of the largest parks in the world located in an urban area.Brasilia National Park has two swimming pools of running mineral water which are the main attractions of the Park. For those who enjoy walking in natural areas it offers several trails for hiker and cyclists.
The park was created to protection of the ecosystem and biodiversity of the savanna region. The park has been developed as an environmental educational center.
In the year 1992, UNESCO declared the park as a core biosphere reserve in Cerrdo because of its preservation strategies.
Once you get there, it seems you’ve been far away from the city. Monkeys come down from trees, grab trash cans and travel snacks. There are also two beautiful swimming pools full of natural and bubbling spring water. There are changing baths, picnic benches and snack bars to sit in in the park.
