The view from the roof of the Duomo in Milan is fascinating, of course, but also very overused. Let’s move on and embrace a new perspective from above: not far from the Triennale you will find a tower that towers above the treetops of Parco Sempione, it is the Branca Tower, the highest publicly accessible viewpoint in the city. The tower was erected in 1933, to symbolize the prestige and modernity of Milan, and fell into oblivion in the 1970s, until it was renovated and reopened in 2002. It can be climbed in small groups using a lift that reaches the top in 90 seconds, from where you can see the Duomo, the Castle, the new skyscrapers and, on particularly clear days, even the mountains.
