Borgo di Gualtieri, a small Renaissance jewel

Gualtieri, in the province of Reggio Emilia, is a small jewel in miniature, where you can rediscover the emilianity of the lowlands of Reggio Emilia, among smiles and good food. Amidst landscapes of water and land, of this Emilian village you must visit the large square, defined by the art historian Cesare Brandi as one of the most beautiful in Italy, Palazzo Bentivoglio, the countryside and the banks of the Po. Not to be missed is the Antonio Ligabue Documentary Museum, to discover the works and the history of the naïf painter.
