Berenziano Museum of Cremona

Berenziano Museum The small collection of artistic objects of the Episcopal Seminary takes its name from Monsignor Angelo Berenzi, teacher at the Seminary itself and already author of several essays on local history. The collection includes paintings, drawings and engravings, wood and terracotta works, semi-precious stones, excavated objects, coins and medals, autographs and commemorative objects of great interest and historical significance. Subsequently, new pieces entered the museum by donation or deposit by city authorities. Among the realities of greatest interest are, in addition to the numismatic collection and prehistoric excavations, some paintings including a Nativity by Altobello Melone, three ceiling paintings by Bonifacio Bembo and two small paintings by Genovesino. Of great interest, in addition to the artistic section, is the historical-naturalistic section, which bears witness to a scientific and didactic activity, supplemented by the presence of precious printed works of naturalistic subjects, preserved in the Seminary Library.
