Bavaria | Irmelshausen and its adorable Wasserschloss

Irmelshausen is a village in the municipality of Höchheim in the district of Rhön-Grabfeld in Bavaria in Germany. The real attraction of this tiny settlement is the adorable Wasserschloss (Moated Castle). The historic round building is perched in the middle of a lake and belonged to the von Bibra family without interruption for 600 years from 1376. It has now been owned by the Stauffenberg family since 1984.
