Basilica di Santa Maria; the large church with three naves has undergone various renovations over the centuries, but the present structure dates back to 1008. Inside you can admire the mosaic floor dating back to the ninth century, the wooden crucifix and a pulpit in Byzantine style modeled with materials from the destruction of Altino. The back wall is occupied by a mosaic representing the Apotheosis of Christ and the Last Judgement, believed to be the work of the Veneto-Byzantine school of the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, similar to the contemporary mosaics of San Marco.
