he castle of Bardi, also known as Landi Castle, is an imposing fortification that stands on a "rock" of red jasper in the town of the same name in the province of Parma. The Fortress of Bardi belonged from the middle of the thirteenth century, and for over four centuries, to the Landi, Renaissance princes who also minted coins under imperial license. Towards the end of the 16th century, the Fortress was partially transformed into an elite patrician residence. To be admired are the patrol walkways, the towers, the parade ground, the porticoed courtyard of honour, the well, the ice-house, the granaries, the prisons and the torture chambers. The former soldiers’ quarters house the Museum of "Civilta Valligiana". Inside the Bardi Fortress you can admire the recently restored Hall of Princes and the new Museum of Fauna and Poaching.
In the Fortress of Bardi the first case in the world of "Thermal Phantom" was recorded.
