Fortescue Falls seem to be a tropical oasis in the middle of the remote and unforgiving desert-like Pilbara Region. Karijini National Park is the 2nd largest national park in Western Australia and it would have to be the most beautiful.
The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful, from the spectacular rugged towering chasms, vibrant colours of the gorge walls, crystal clear pools and waterfalls. Fortescue Falls – these falls are the only permanent waterfall in Karijini National Park and you can swim at the falls. Follow the trail from the car park to reach the trail down to the waterfall. Once you negotiate the steps and narrow trail, you can have a refreshing swim in the spring-fed permanent falls.
