Australia | Cape Byron Lighthouse

The easternmost point of Terra Australis is marked by the lighthouse built in 1901 at Cape Byron, the promontory sighted and baptized by James Cook himself and breaking more than 40 kilometers of expanses of white sand. South of the lighthouse is Tallow beach, north of the lighthouse is Belongil and Tyagarah beach, beaches as far as the eye can see that bring together Robinson Crusoe aspirants, surfers and nudists, ranked 88th on the CNN’s list of specialties. The point is that almost none of the 87 that precede them is the backdrop to Byron Bay, the town of 9000 souls with the highest planetary concentration of events per capita and the highest Australian concentration of bookstores per square meter. This means living in Byron Bay!
