Aspromonte| Roghudi Vecchio, the ghost village

In Calabria crecanica, in Aspromonte stands Roghudi Vecchio. A real ghost town. Due to two floods in the early seventies, it was depopulated. Its name derives from the greek rogòdes, "full of crevasses", and is quite evocative of the environment that surrounds it. The village, in fact, is perched on a rocky tooth along the Fiumara Amendolea.
